Handpicked Chamber String Ensemble playing essential articulations with focus on a unique vintage sound. Version 2 adds brandnew True Polyphonic Legato Ensembles as well as a more accessible User Interface.

Cornucopia is the “horn of plenty” (from Latin – cornu copiae) - a symbol of abundance and nourishment. For Cornucopia Strings 2 a chamber string ensemble (6-5-4-3-2) was recorded and sampled comprising the best string players in Bulgaria - all leading players in the Sofia Session Orchestra.

The very special characteristic that makes Cornucopia stand out to other string libraries on the market is its sound. At its first release in 2013 Cornucopia quickly gained a huge amount of fans due to its unique, almost vintage, tone. The strings were recorded in their real orchestral seating position (violins to the left, celli and basses to the right) in Druzhba hall – the same hall “Storm Choir” was recorded in. The subtle natural ambience of the space brought the samples to life without compromising the tonal clarity.

With a fully sampled dynamic range from piano to forte, Cornucopia can be used very well in different contexts. According to the philosophy of Strezov Sampling Cornucopia didn't receive a lot of post processing. However after some careful investigations single notes were tuned for the 2.0 update to ensure better playability and consistency.

New True Polyphonic Legato Content

The old Cornucopia had only full Tutti and seperate Basses articulations. Listening to the requests of users two brandnew true polyphonic legato patches were added with special focus on the concept of the library. The first one consists of 1st, 2nd Violins and Violas playing in Octaves with muted strings (con sordino). The second patch ensembles the Celli and Basses in Octaves also playing con sordino. Although all strings were recorded con sordino and the ensemble size is relatively small the captured sound turned out to be pretty massive and therefore is also perfect for Hybrid Score Productions.

As with Rhodope Ethnic Bulgarian Choir Exp A our new true polyphonic legato script not only allows you to hold down chords and continue playing, but also does intelligent voice leading when you play chords. With a career that spans almost two decades, Ronan has developed his production style from the early 2000’s through the evolving sounds of House, Tech House and Techno, displaying technical brilliance and a unique and personal style in his work.

His productions have been released not only on Little Helpers but labels like SCI+TEC, Mindshake, AMA, Agile, Foundsound, Deeperfect, Trapez, Stereo Productions, Suruba X, Traum Schallplatten, Area Remote, Bla Bla, and the list goes on.

His records are regularly charted and played the likes of, Paco Osuna, Dubfire, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Ray Okpara, Barem, Someone Else, Joris Voorn, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Stefano Noferini, Los Suruba, Uto Karem, Matthias Tanzmann, Martinez, and many more.

Little Helpers is a conceptual digital label courtesy of Andrew Rasse (a.k.a. Butane) and Sean O'Neal (a.k.a. Someone Else) launched in December 2009. Each release on Little Helpers is a strong, reduced groove-tool aimed to satisfy the increasing number of digital DJs. Much like the traditional locked groove vinyl, these tracks are suitable for looping, editing and layering. Yet at the same time, each track has enough variation to stand on its own. That is, each tune, lies somewhere between a full track and a DJ tool -- focusing solely on the rhythm or a singular idea rather than extraneous arrangements. This series of sample products takes this concept into new territory and offers inspiring packs jam packed with the essential building blocks for Minimal, Tech, Techno and Deep productions.

This pack comes in two main formats as well as specific formats for convenience.

Apple Loops pack - Includes Apple Loop aif files with pre-analysed and tagged drum, and music loops. You also receive 3rd party sampler instruments as well as all the other content in the other formats such as REX2.

'Jazz & Lounge Horns' from Organic Loops have lined up two of the best session guys around for the next in this Jazz & Lounge series. Featuring a wealth of Jazz solos and riffs to drag and drop, cut up and chop and build your own lip buzzing brass parts for your Lounge, Downtempo, Hip Hop or Chillout productions.

'Jazz & Lounge Horns' features live trumpet and sax by two leading session guys on the circuit today Ben Cummings (trumpet) and Billy Chapman (saxophone). The loops from both performers are in similar keys and tempos, so finding combinations is a breeze. This collection is more about improvising and solo ideas to lay over a smooth groove than simple syncopated brass stabs, and producers are encouraged to chop and cherry pick their best moments to fuse then dip them in smooth reverb or delays and sit back and enjoy the pure soul that has gone into performing these horn licks.

Ben Cummings is one of the UK's best and most in demand session trumpet players, whose credits include Jamie Cullum, Jacqui Dankworth, Madness, Bad Manners, The Humphrey Lyttelton Band and The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, amongst many others. Ben's own influences include Chet Baker and Clark Terry.

Billy Chapman is a fantastic alto sax player who originally played in '80s band Animal Nightlife, then went on to play sessions all over the world. His credits include Paul Weller and the Style Council, Animal Nightlife and many, many more. Billy continues to be highly in demand.

Both sessions were recorded through Neumann U87 into a Neve sidecar and through a SSL G series desk into Protools HD, in 24-Bit Quality.

Inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns Danse Macabre we are proud to present you our first Solo Strings library focusing on expressive performances. Macabre consists of a sampled String Trio Violin, Viola and Cello recorded separately in their first chair positions in the Sofia Session Studio, where artists like Two Steps from Hell recorded their albums.

Macabre Solo Strings aren't the usual sampled Solo Strings. They were crafted with one particular sound in our minds, which they deliver better than any other Solo String library out there. Macabre excels at slow emotional Solo String lines and on top of that you don't even need tons of programming to get stunning results with them. Just sit down and play. The samples themselves contain a huge amount of natural expressiveness, which makes it easier than ever to write realistic sounding Solo String lines.

9.7.2 Release Notes

Improvements and feature changes:
- Added support for the Arturia MiniLab MkII control surface. In order for the script to function correctly, it is recommended to update the Minilab MkII Firmware to the latest version available.

Bugfixes:
- If a dropdown or context menu was open in Live, pressing CMD+Shift+- on a Mac OS would cause Live to crash.
- The GUI would appear laggy when zooming in audio tracks and moving the zooming hotspot on Windows if the files were being streamed from a hard drive.
- Fixed a bug that caused Live to crash when opening a context menu in a device chain containing no instruments.
- Fixed a bug which prevented changing the text color in Drum Rack return chains to white when the chain's color was dark.
- Fixed a graphical glitch that occurred when hovering over automation segments drawn on top of a waveform. The glitch was visible in Detail View (in both the Arrangement and Session View), and would only appear in automation segments not covering the full track height.
- Disabled audio and MIDI meters were not correctly shown as grayed out in the routing choosers
- When Live's authorization was not successful, the dialog box could erroneously confirm it as successful.
- Fixed a bug which prevented auto updates from working on Windows 10.

Changes for Push:
- Fixed a bug that caused Live to crash when moving tracks while Push 2 was connected, under certain circumstances.
- When selecting a track containing a Simpler which was playing back a sample, the playhead would sometimes not be displayed.
- Live would crash if a Drum Rack clip in the last scene was duplicated from Push.
- Live would crash when importing a greater number of MIDI files to the Arrangement than the amount of available MIDI tracks, if Push 2 was connected.
- When routing via Push 2, the display process might allocate an unusual amount of memory.

Overloud and MoReVoX have announced the partnership with the Grammy Award winning engineer John Paterno and released JPVerbs, a REmatrix reverb expansion library featuring 100 IRs and 101 individual presets created for mixing.

JPVerbs collects the reverb chains John Paterno uses in his mixes. In order to create dense and richer ambiences he typically layers multiple vintage reverb units.

The presets have been created during real mix studio sessions with a particular focus on vocals, drums, guitars, keyboards and acoustic instruments.

JPVerbs is available as a REmatrix expansion library. It can be used with the free REmatrix Player as well.

String Theory
Majestica holds a massive 100 piece String Ensemble spread across basses, cellos, violas and violins. The string section contains true legato, regular and fast type of spiccato, marcato, bartok, con legno, expressive dynamic bowings (aka arcs).. The Majestica String Ensemble can both be soft like silk and intergalactically powerful. The bass (30) and cellos (30) sections are the largest ever sampled and the gorgeous, airy sound by the (20) violas and (20) violins just makes the entire string section stringtastic.

Powerful Percussion
Majestica contains a 20 piece percussion ensemble, which takes your boom to the next dimension. The percussion section contains dedicated tom-tom ensembles, gran-casa ensembles, timpany ensembles to major snare ensembles, tambourine, anvil and stick ensembles. We also recorded cymbals, tam-tam and gong ensembles. In addition we created percussion master patches and sound designed super percussion that will pierce through any epic mix and it all just works … straight out of the box.

Majestic Brass
Majestica contains a 60 piece brass ensemble, which is the largest ever sampled in the history of sampling. Players from six different countries were flown to the scoring stage to participate. The brass ensemble consists of 10 Cimbassos, 10 Bass Trombones, 30 French Horns and 10 Trumpets. The sound is not just bigger then anything you have ever heard – it is also different. The Majestica brass ensemble contains all the core building blocks you need from sustains to staccato, marcato to expressive arcs etc.

Whirling Winds
Majestica contains two separate woodwind sections. A low woodwind section comprised of 15 bass clarinets and 15 contra bassoons. A high woodwind section comprised of 10 alto flutes, 10 flutes and 10 piccolo flutes. The sound of the low ensemble is unbelievable rich and fat – and the sound of the high woodwind ensemble can penetrate even the beefiest of mixes. The woodwinds contains both sustains, staccatissimo, double tongue, expressive arcs, trills (min/maj), gorgeous marcato etc.

Hyper Flexible UI
Majestica contains a whole new-generation of user interface (UI) flexibility. The UI alone contains over 35.000 lines of code and contains a variety of new features, including an advanced articulation browser with assignable controls, articulation sequencer, advanced arpeggiator and polyphonic step sequencer. In addition Majestica contains advanced midi and remapping functions – allowing the end-user to control anything from round robin to tuning.
